Your Child’s Future Begins Here

Over the past week or so, we had the opportunity to sit down with Raynah Thibodeaux, the Director of the Roslindale walk-in center, to discuss the importance of a Boston Public Schools (BPS) education and information about early registration.

Boston Public Schools offer academic, social, and cultural experiences that receive national attention, and Boston families are fortunate to have more choices for their children’s education than almost anywhere else in the U.S. Boston Public Schools is committed to transforming the lives of all children through exemplary teaching in a world-class system of innovative, welcoming schools. BPS partners with the community, families, and students to develop in every learner the knowledge, skill, and character to excel in college, career, and life.

The Boston Public Schools Early Childhood programs are one of the strongest in the nation. They are designed to engage children and empower them to develop language, math, critical thinking, and socioemotional skills that prepare them for long-term academic and life success. You can learn more about how to prepare for enrollment at http://discoverbps.bostonpublicschools.org/.

Priority registration is open now for grades K2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8, is February 7, 2022-April 1, 2022. Assignment notifications will be announced on May 31, 2022.

You can register in two ways:

  1. Computer-Pre-register online at https://sis.mybps.org  and schedule an appointment at https://booknow.appointment-plus.com to complete the process over the phone.
  2. Phone-Call one of our 4 Welcome Centers to set up an appointment and work directly with a registration specialist. All BPS Welcome Centers are open for assistance, please call to schedule an appointment.

Welcome Centers are in Roxbury, Dorchester, East Boston, and Roslindale and are open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. The Welcome Center in East Boston is only open on Monday and Tuesday.
