DEATH … Truth Is, It’s Been A LOT
For the past two years, we’ve dealt with so much death. There have even been times when we hear of deaths, sometimes multiple ones daily.
The truth is we’re traumatized, bewildered at God, and just tired of losing loved ones, hearing about folks leaving us, and in many cases, we didn’t get to mourn them the way we would before COVID-19.
I posted this on Facebook on December 13, 2021 and have shared it at least three times.

What we’re feeling is real and in the words of my Brother, Darrin Howell:
There’s no patent to pain
I’ll take it a step further, while there are ways we can mourn and grieve healthily, there’s no one patent to healing. We have to allow ourselves and others to heal and be there to support them. Do encourage them to drink water, eat and rest. And when needed, hold space for the community.
Our community is dealing with deaths from COVID-19, gun violence, violence against women, and the list goes on. There have been many and we may often feel like it’s too much, but we will get through this.
Praying for our community.
