I Called It Some Years Ago … Now on to Boston’s Economy!

Last night, one of our community leaders made a major announcement that will have a huge impact on Boston’s economy. See the announcement HERE.

At the Black Economic Council Of Massachusetts’ (BECMA) Annual Meeting, CEO/President Segun Idowu announced that he was leaving BECMA. I was shocked. Segun has accomplished so much there in such a short period of time. It took about two point five seconds for my concern to change to excitement. Segun announced that he moving on to be the new Chief of Mayor Michelle Wu’s Office of Economic Development and Opportunities for the City of Boston. I wasn’t surprised. He’s has done a lot for our community. I captured him at a community event some years ago and the post read something like: “lookout for up and coming leaders in #bospoli” (Boston politics).

Segun’s leadership has a huge influence on #bospoli, as #bospoli has a huge influence of economic equity. I believe with him at the helm of this office, Boston is in great hands when it comes to equitable economic opportunities for Boston residents.
